Commercial Legal Counsel

About the Role You will step into a broad and business-close legal role supporting a European business unit in a complex commercial environment. The work spans commercial structuring, competition law, strategic collaborations and selected M&A-related matters, with close interaction across marketing, operations, sourcing and business development. This is a role for you if you enjoy working where legal advice directly influences how the business grows, prices, partners and goes to market. You will help bring clarity to both day-to-day commercial questions and more strategic decisions across multiple European jurisdictions. It is an interesting opportunity if you want a wide legal mandate and real influence close to the business. Job DescriptionYou will advise the business on commercial structuring, contract negotiation and legal risk in close dialogue with key stakeholders. You will support matters related to competition law, trade terms and consumer protection across different European markets. You will work closely with sales, sourcing and operations teams on pricing models, discount schemes and trade arrangements. You will guide the business in questions related to product claims, strategic collaborations and route-to-market changes. You will contribute legal support in M&A-related activities and other commercially important initiatives. You will create and improve legal frameworks, ways of working and processes in areas where structure is still evolving. You will coach and influence senior stakeholders by turning complex legal questions into clear and practical guidance. RequirementsStrong track record in commercial contract negotiation, stakeholder engagement and legal advisory across operations, sales and supply chain. Solid ability to provide legal guidance on competition law, trade terms and consumer protection in a European business context. Experience of working closely with cross-functional teams such as sales, sourcing, operations, marketing or business development. Strong commercial awareness and a genuine interest in understanding the business beyond the legal perspective. Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity and build legal frameworks and processes where needed. Confidence in handling complex or new legal and commercial questions and turning them into practical recommendations. Ability to communicate clearly, coach stakeholders and influence senior business partners.
